2nd Quarter Update

Dear valued B.I.S.A. member,

As a reminder, registration for the spring season is now open and will close February 1,2024

We have reached the end of our second quarter as of December 1st, 2023. We are halfway through our fiscal year and BISA is currently operating significantly under budget.

After ten years of service the BISA, Vice President Paul Long has decided to retire from our board of directors. Paul’s contribution to our organization is immeasurable. We greatly appreciate all his hard work and sacrifice. Paul will be deeply missed but we wish him the best of luck moving forward.

We still have open positions on the BISA board of directors. If anyone is interested, please reach out. BISA is only as good as the people who volunteer to serve the organization.

I would also like to take a moment to appreciate all our board members. This group of directors works hard all year long to keep kids playing soccer and keep the organization healthy.

This past fall BISA operated the concession stand at the Bartlett Sports complex. This was the first time in a very long time BISA was able to take on this task. By operating the concession stand ourselves, BISA was able to bring in extra monies this past season. We owe a big thank you to Paul Long and his team for their concession’s efforts.

BISA is currently looking for business sponsors for our organization. If any businesses are interested in advertising with BISA, please reach out to Alexa Robinson. Secretary@bisasoccer.com.

At the end of the season, BISA sent a total of six teams to the North Texas Tournament of champions. We would like to say congratulations to those teams: U9 Boys Stampede, U12 Boys Orange Crush, U11 Boys Raptors, U10 Boys Lions, U14 Girls Roadrunners, and the U11 Girls Firebirds. Thank you all for representing BISA well at this event.

Thank you again to all our volunteers whether they be coaches, board members, or parents. We greatly appreciate your contributions to and sacrifices for BISA.

As always, please reach out to me or any of the board members is we can help in any way.

Thanks,

Daniel Gipson

BISA President
